I grew up fishing the Texas coast therefore
saltwater bowfishing is my specialty. I also guide trips on the Guadalupe River, Lavaca River and Colorado River for Trophy Gar. Very few people realize that the alligator gar are not only found in Texas lakes and rivers but also along the Texas Coast. Everyone concentrates on the alligator gars, but don’t forget all the other species that provide awesome shooting fun. Southern and Cow nose Stingrays are pound for pound one of the most exciting fish to shoot. I will travel to wherever it takes to get you the fish you want. I am set up to handle the beginner bow fisherman to the experienced. Bowfishing with me provides a fun and affordable adventure that you will never forget.
I have been duck hunting the Port O’Connor area for over ten years. The Texas coast is blessed with one of the largest winter concentration of ducks in the United States. Red Head, Pintail, are the most prolific but Widgeon, Gadwall, Teal and many other ducks are common. I prefer to hunt sitting in the grass marshes but I do have several blinds to hunt from if needed. I am continuously scouting for the best places to hunt. I specialize in small parties and personal hunts. Youth hunts and family hunts are welcomed. I can also handle cooperate hunts with multiple boats. Come hunt and fish with me for your next Adventure.
The 43rd annual One Arm Dove Hunt will be held in Olney, Texas on September 5th and 6th, 2014. What started as a joke in 1972 became a tradition and has grown as the only event of its kind on Earth. It is quite a legacy that the two Jacks and the citizens of Olney have given the disabled. If you take two one armed politicians, add a Texas tall tale and a few high flying doves, you can say you have quite a story to be told.
One Arm Dove Hunt Photo Gallery
This “Olney Story” shines as an example of what a hometown community can do for the disabled. Every person with the loss of use of an arm or hand, or an arm or hand amputee across the nation is invited to Olney, Texas the first weekend after Labor Day. This small community of 3,500 is located 45 miles south of Wichita Falls, Texas on Highway 114.
Olney is the friendliest town west of the Mississippi River.
Come join us and make us prove it.
According to C. Rodney James, “The amputees in attendance find the two day event not only a source of psychological support but an invaluable opportunity to exchange information, ideas and technology—-all in a relaxed atmosphere of fun and fellowship each shooting for a better tomorrow. Olney’s famous one arm dove hunt is right on target. THESE ARE GUNS THAT HEAL.”
For the past 40 years, one armed men, women, and children have traveled to Olney from all over the United States and other countries, not only to hunt dove, but to take part in what has become ” TEXAS’ MOST UNUSUAL EVENT”….Olney’s Famous One Arm Dove Hunt.

The creeks, natural springs, river bottom land, hardwood and pine tree plantations, and hay meadows are what make our East Texas ranches so beautiful. Our success rate speaks for itself. There are no game proof fences to keep the animals in or out. Our ranches have huge bucks, lots of varmits, and monster hogs. I have grown up here on these ranches, and I have killed huge hogs, coyotes, bobcats, and big buck contest winning whitetails. We take pride in providing a quality and memorable hunting experience, whether you are chasing wild hogs, hunting deer, or quail over our well trained English Pointers.

The historic QB Ranch offers almost 20,000 acres of prime wildlife habitat. Located in King County, three hours northwest of Ft. Worth, Texas. The ranch terrain is made up of rugged canyons with cedar and shin oak covered ridges. Rolling hills lead to steep slopes, some bordered by creeks that feed our large lakes and many ponds and flow through several thousand acres of mesquite flats filled with trophy whitetail. Our lakes and ponds not only provide a great stopover for waterfowl along the central flyway but also have been stocked with Florida-strain black bass and crappie. Creeks, canyons, steep slopes, rolling hills, and mesa tops – all of this, added to the abundant wildlife and sporting activities, make this place truly special.
Elk On The QB RanchMost of the ranch is made up of what was formally a part of the historic Four Sixes Ranch. It was named QB for what was known as the Quail and Buck pasture as wild game was abundant on this part of the famous ranch. The QB with its incredible terrain and abundant game was much better suited for a hunting ranch than a cattle operation. Hunting had not been allowed on the property for other than family and a few close friends such as President “Teddy” Roosevelt who was allowed to hunt coyote and wolves in 1905.
Whitetail On The QB RanchAfter the purchase of the QB the ranch was put into an extensive wildlife management program. We now have over four hundred game feeders that are stocked year round. Approximately 4,000 acres were put under high fence and stocked with the highest quality game and exotics including a large herd of elk with many great 6×6 or better bulls. A resident herd of buffalo and Watusi cattle roam freely over most of the ranch. The whitetail population is plentiful and virtually untouched making the QB one of the best whitetail hunting ranches in the state of Texas. The natural genetics on the ranch are tremendous, as this area of Texas continues to produce some of the state’s largest whitetail taken each year.
Elk Swimming On The QB RanchThe food sources, nutrition, habitat and genetics have all been improved, making the QB Ranch in King County, Texas, a ranch that will consistently offer each and every year a legitimate chance at taking a trophy animal as well as providing a great setting for an enjoyable outdoor adventure. The QB Ranch will continue to prepare and put forth all the necessary hard work and effort that it takes to provide you with the opportunity of a lifetime to take your trophy animal, have an exciting hunt, and provide an enjoyable stay with great food and even better hospitality.

Where The Season Never Ends
Rock Creek Ranch consist of two Texas hunting ranches, specializing in Texas Exotic hunting and Whitetail hunting. Each gives the hunter a totally different experience. These ranches has been managed for years to produce superior herds of Whitetail and Exotic game. Our Central Texas location is near Killeen and Fort Hood Texas. This ranch provides trophy Whitetail Deer hunts, exotic game hunts, and Dove hunting.
Rock Canyon Ranch in southwest Texas is one of the premier locations to hunt whitetail deer, exotic game, turkey and doves. It is located at the northeast corner of Val Verde County, just miles from Dolan Falls on the Devil’s River. The ranch sits where the Texas Hill Country, West Texas, and the notorious South Texas deer country collide. It is right at the intersection of three biological regions: the Edwards Plateau, Chihuahuan Desert and Rio Grande Plain brush land. This combination of terrain creates a landscape of outstanding beauty and diversity that presents a unique competitive advantage for hunting due to the fact that the ranch shares all types of vegetation from all three terrains.
The ranch has 13,500 acres of which 6000 is under high fence and the remaining 7500 acres are under low fence creating a fair chase hunt for elusive trophy animals. An extensive management program including careful culling and protein feeding was implemented more than ten years ago. All hunts are guided 1:1. Last year, all new infrastructure was introduced including brand new blinds, feeders, and hunting lodge. 2010 was also the first year that the ranch was open to commercial hunting.
